Five winemakers from Portugal’s exciting Setubal Peninsula will join me for a trade seminar and lunch at Miami’s La Centrale. While Setubal’s luscious sweet wines are loved internationally, the dry wines of the peninsula are less well-known, something we intend to change in this trade event with 20 wines for tasting and pairing with a terrific array of cuisines. If you are in the wine trade and wish to attend, we still have a couple of spaces left at the table. For information, contact allison@pleasethepalate.com
Benvenuto Brunello, an event held simultaneously in eight cities worldwide, was the debut of the storied 2019 vintage of Brunello di Montalcino, Tuscany’s classic, iconic and all-sangiovese wine. I was the presenter for one of the three American debut tastings, and have the story here.
