If you live in South Florida, on Saturday, September 26, you have a terrific opportunity to taste a huge variety of wines reflecting both Old World and New. Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate has created a walk-around tasting that brings 150 wines (and quite a few winemakers) from Spain and South America to Miami's Design District. All the wines were selected by Wine Advocate editors, and all scored a minimum of 90 points in Wine Advocate.
You’ll recognize many of the names of the wineries represented – Vega Sicilia, Catena Zapata, Montes Alpha M, Almaviva, Don Melchor and many more. The tasting is sponsored in part by Sunset Corners Wines & Spirits and the store’s entire staff of wine experts will be on hand at the tasting. Here is your chance to taste the best new wines of Old World Spain and the most revered wines of New World Chile and Argentina.
What does it take to go?
The walk-around tasting is from 1pm – 6pm on Saturday, September 26, at the Moore Building in Miami’s Design District.
Each ticket to attend is $99 and comes with some significant benefits.
First, you will receive a 1-year subscription to eRobertParker Online, and since this normally sells for $99, your ticket is essentially free. But, as the infomercials say, “Wait, there’s more.” In addition to the subscription to eRobertParker.com, you’ll also receive $20 off your next purchase at Sunset Corners Wines & Spirits when you register with the Promo Code “SUNSET”.
This is a great opportunity for every wine lover. For more information, or to register with the promo code, simply click here and visit the information page:
Benvenuto Brunello, an event held simultaneously in eight cities worldwide, was the debut of the storied 2019 vintage of Brunello di Montalcino, Tuscany’s classic, iconic and all-sangiovese wine. I was the presenter for one of the three American debut tastings, and have the story here.
