Italy is a country of incredible diversity for wine lovers - it spans various climates, features a mind-boggling variety of grapes and produces wines that are among the greatest in the world. Want to bring you familiarity with Italian wine up a notch or two?
Here’s your chance! I’m leading a four-hour masterclass on the wines of Italy’s 20 vibrant regions with a special emphasis on some less familiar grape varieties and lesser-known regions. The symposium is presented by the Italian Trade Authority on March 20, 2023 at Dōma restaurant in Miami’s Wynwood district.. The seminar has limited attendance and is for wine and hospitality trade and students of wine; if that describes you, then please join me and register while there are still a few seats remain.
We’re taking over the entire Dōma space for the seminar from 2p to 6pm and a light dinner follows at 6:30pm where we’ll try the wines from the seminar with food. The seminar is complimentary to people in the wine and hospitality trade but you must reserve your space with the Italian Trade Authority. Once the masterclass is full, there will be no seats available, so sign up now!

Benvenuto Brunello, an event held simultaneously in eight cities worldwide, was the debut of the storied 2019 vintage of Brunello di Montalcino, Tuscany’s classic, iconic and all-sangiovese wine. I was the presenter for one of the three American debut tastings, and have the story here.
